Roger McGuinn (born James McGuinn III) is most famous for being a founding member, singer, guitarist, and songwriter in The Byrds. Since that band's demise he has had moderate success as a solo artist, working with many other artists, including Bob Dylan and Tom Petty. Some of his solo material has appeared in films, such as 1969's Easy Rider. Roger, along with the other Byrds members, was honored with an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.

Roger McGuinn Together written by Roger McGuinn/Jacques Levy
EmCC/B Love was never good to him all his days were spent in shadows AmDEm Standing near the carousel watching lovers spin around together EmCC/B No one could remember why no one heard his lonely story AmDEm Walking in the crowded streets past the couples holding hands together G Together oh the music in the word and the feeling he could feel D The rush of rivers flowing and the touch of something real EmG Together together DEm Dreaming of a tiny light is the distance of the night together EmCC/B Keeping secrets to himself smiling at the conversation AmDEm Dinner with an old time friend look at all the people there together GAmC And then and then he met her and suddendly his life was upside down Em A summer party by the sea C And all the time the fear that she would make him play the clown AmF But oh how warm the look she gave and oh how sweet the song D7 He met her and his heart was swept along EmC Nothing lives that can not die no one loves except forever AmDEm So he promised he would try and they started out together G Together oh the music in the word and the feeling he could feel D The rush of rivers flowing and the touch of something real EmG Together together
