Roger McGuinn (born James McGuinn III) is most famous for being a founding member, singer, guitarist, and songwriter in The Byrds. Since that band's demise he has had moderate success as a solo artist, working with many other artists, including Bob Dylan and Tom Petty. Some of his solo material has appeared in films, such as 1969's Easy Rider. Roger, along with the other Byrds members, was honored with an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.

Roger McGuinn Dixie Highway written by McGuinn/Levy
A Drivin down the Dixie Highway
Doing my best to hold the road
All night long on that Dixie Highway
Bring my Florida baby a heavy load
Windin down the Dixie Highway
Stars above the midnight blue
Coming now on the Dixie Highway
U.S. number one to get to you ED7A Tampa Bay Lauderdale ride beside the sea EDED#DED#D Got to say no sweeter baby anywhere for me A Southern moon on the Dixie Highway
Orange blossom kisses on my mouth
Me oh my the Dixie Highway
On my way to heaven headin south
