[Verse 1]
A
Sometimes I'm Virginia Woolf,
D
Sometimes I'm James Dean,
E
Sometimes I'm my only friend,
A
And my own worst enemy,

My right hand never knows,

What my left one's gonna do,
A E A
But I never meant to cause the harm that I have done to you.

[Verse 2]

Sometimes I drink beaujolais,
D
Sometimes I drink gin,

Sometimes it does me in,

But you've seen all my darkest shades,
D
Everything I've been,
A E A
Still I can't hurt myself much more than anyone else can.

[Chorus]
E
I'm worried for no reason,
A
I'm worried and I'm blue,
F#m A
There's no better cure for it,

Sometimes my weakness is stronger than me,
D A E A
Sometimes my weakness is stronger than me.

Get this Monkey off my back,

'Fore I wind up back in prison and give myself another heart attack,

[Chorus]
E
I'm worried for no reason,
A
I'm worried and I'm blue,
