Lloyd Cole (born in Buxton on 31 January 1961) is an English-born singer and songwriter, known for his role as lead singer of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions from 1984 to 1989 and for his subsequent solo work.
Born in Buxton, Derbyshire, Cole grew up in nearby Chapel en le Frith and went to New Mills Grammar School. After failing in law at University College London, he later attended (but did not graduate from) the University of Glasgow where he studied philosophy and English and met the other members of band that would become The Commotions.

Here's my attempt at Lloyd Cole's "No Blue Skies" from his first solo CD. This song has two (at least) guitars on it - on playing mainly 5th chords and the other playing other 5 chords - see the chart for details - listen to the song and see where you'd put them.
*same* Lookin for something when there's nothing left to be found Make it easy on yourself Go out and find your body someone else Who'll tear the stars out of the sky

D5* A5* Baby you're too pristine

A5 (Baby you're too well read)
*same as other verses* You want to leave me baby, be my guest All I'm gonna do is cry Then I'm gonna find me someone else And tear the stars out of the sky
*same as other chorus, except hold on last D5* longer to fit extra line in* Baby you're too well read Baby you're too well spoken Baby you're far too clean When I cry do you feel anything (Baby you're too well read) Baby you're too well read
