The logs for the old cabin, they came all the way from Victor Montana,

three semi loads in all. We built on a three acre patch of timberland.

Neighbors came from miles around and they did see a lot. Oh they

stayed till the ridge pole was raised----- from the ground

For twenty seven years it was our home with wildflowers abound.

Blue Belles,violets, trillium and anemone. Songs birds and squirrels

formed the timber sounds.

Hackberry, oak, hickory and pine, they made up the upper story

and protected the cabin that we all called mine. Yes, it was our

prairie cabin home, snuggled in the big timber.We raised our family in

that cabin. The lodgepole pine cabin, our home on hackberry lane. .
