The National is a Brooklyn-based indie rock band formed in 1999, by friends from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. The band's lyrics are written and sung by Matt Berninger in a distinctive, deep baritone. The rest of the band is composed of two pairs of brothers: Aaron Dessner (guitar, bass, keyboards), Bryce Dessner (guitar), Scott Devendorf (bass, guitar) and Bryan Devendorf (drums).
Their self-titled debut album"The National" (Brassland 2001) was recorded and released before they had played even a single show.

Hi everyone,
Pretty simple tab as it's just three chords.
There are a lot of pulloffs in this song as the chords are played so just do them how you feel. They occur mainly on the A and D chords (Though I swear that I hear them on the Bm too) and generally go..
Asleep on my feet Bm And if I forget you A I'll have nobody left to forget D I guess that's what assholes get
A Traded my day light BmA For a career
DA But I need you to disprove BmA My theory of the crows
D Pouring my fingers across the keys A Will someone review my salary please? Bm I'm selling my time to the man who sells style A That time should be mine to waste on you
D I'll suck off investors
I'll suck off VCs A I'm losing my posture from time on my knees Bm They treat me so well
Cause I'll do anything A It's in my nature of service
DA But I'll need you to disprove BmA My theory of the crows
D Kids of the wealthy are raised by the poor A You send daughters to Los Angelos and New York Bm I need mine to see me
When I wake up A I need mine to know D That I'm what they come to A That I'm what they come to Bm That I'm what they come to
