The Monkees assembled to be the stars of an American television series of the same name, which ran on NBC from 1966 to 1968. The original lineup was: Micky Dolenz (drums, vocals), Michael Nesmith (guitar, vocals), Davy Jones (percussion, vocals) and Peter Tork (bass, keyboards, vocals) . The Monkees were formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California and initially disbanded in 1970 at the conclusion of their recording contract. NINE TIMES BLUE by Michael Nesmith ****************
I got this off of a tape the my friend made me. It's different from the Headquarters CD track, and this is what I've figured out. I'm not sure if the B7-G in the chorus is right. If anyone has any questions, please email me.
GD There's a certain something in the way GDEm You looked at me and said you'd stay CDG That let me know that I was out of line GD But I didn't know what else to do GDEm And like a fool I tested you CDG By demanding things of you which weren't mine.
Chorus:
CDGDEm And now I feel like such a fool CDG For making you crawl back to me B7 But you did it with such love Em That you're standing far above Am Me and all I did to you D7 I'm sorry now, what can I do?
Vs 2:
GD I know that never in the world GDEm Could I have found me such a girl CDG Who's there to pick me up before I fall GD And if in the end we should go GDEm Both our separate ways CDG I know the lesson I've learned here is worth it all.
Chorus:
CDGDEm And now I feel like such a fool CDG For making you crawl back to me B7 But you did it with such love Em That you're standing far above Am Me and all I did to you D7 I'm sorry now, what can I do?
