Biography:
The Holydrug Couple have done a lot of growing since their first release with Sacred Bones Records in 2011. The “couple,” consisting of Ives Sepúlveda and Manuel Parra recorded Noctuary in Santiago, Chile. They put together a home studio and recorded the entire album themselves, from start to finish. Feeling that no one else had been able to capture their sound, Ives decided to take a risk and produce and engineer the album on his own. Four years of hard work!This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
Standard Tuning, No Capo
This is an instrumental, and pretty much a jam song.
Once you get the chords down, a second guitar or synth
can improvise as is needed (or, honestly, whatever
you want to be in the song. You could probably squeeze
a frog to make some of these sounds.)
I prefer to play the B flat with no barre because it creates
a bit of an unsettled or unfinished sound, which fits
Holydrug's sound a little better.
Strumming patterns are pretty easy to get a hold of, even though they don't look so nice.
A single measure is 16 strums. I usually play each one down.
