Secondhand Serenade is a one man band from Menlo Park, California. John Vesely, 30, sings and plays guitar and piano. His music is characterized by multitrack recording so he can create the sound of a band by himself. He uses multitrack recording to create vocal harmonies, and a lead acoustic guitar over strummed chords.
After the breakup of Sounds Like Life, featuring himself and Ronnie Day, Vesely started writing and performing his songs solo under the name Secondhand Serenade.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

CAm It's a shame that it had to be this way F It's not enough to say I'm sorry CG It's not enough to say I'm sorry C Maybe I'm to blame Am Or maybe we're the same F But either way I can't breathe CG Either way I can't breathe FGAm All I had to say is goodbye F We're better off this way GCG We're better off this way CAm I'm alive but I'm losing all my drive F Cause everything we've been through CG And everything about you C Seemed to be a lie Am A guiltless twisted lie F It made me learn to hate you CG Or hate myself for letting it pass by FGAm All I had to say is goodbye F We're better off this way GAm We're better off this way FGAm All I had to say is goodbye F We're better off this way GAm We're better off this way FGAm And every, everything isn't only F What it seemed so hold these GAm Words that you never told me F Its time to say goodbye GAm Its time to say goodbye F Its time to say goodbye GAm Goodbye CAm Take my pain away
Tear it out F Tell me I was wrong CG Tell me I was wrong CAm Take my pain away
Tear it out F Tell me I was wrong CG Tell me I was wrong CAm Take my pain away
Tear it out F Tell me I was wrong CG Tell me I was wrong
