Secondhand Serenade is a one man band from Menlo Park, California. John Vesely, 30, sings and plays guitar and piano. His music is characterized by multitrack recording so he can create the sound of a band by himself. He uses multitrack recording to create vocal harmonies, and a lead acoustic guitar over strummed chords.
After the breakup of Sounds Like Life, featuring himself and Ronnie Day, Vesely started writing and performing his songs solo under the name Secondhand Serenade.

E/C# In the moonlight E/G# Your face it glows A Like a thousand diamonds E/C# I suppose E/G# And your hair flows like A The ocean breeze E/C# Not a million fights E/G# Could make me hate you A You’re invincible
Yeah, It’s true E/C#E/G# It’s in your eyes A Where I find peace
Chorus: E Is it broken? E/G# Can we work it out? AB Let’s light up the town, scream out loud! E Is it broken? E/G# Can we work it out? A I can see in your eyes B You’re ready to break --> intro Don’t look away.
So here we are now In a place where The sun blended With the ocean thin. So thin, we stand Across from each other Together we’ll wonder If we will last these days If I asked you to stay Would you tell me E2 You would be mine? E/C#E/G#A I think that we are brooookeeeen
E/C# And time
Is all I ask for A Time E I just need one more day E/C# And time
You’ve been crying too long A Time
And your tears wrote this song E Stay E/C# In the moonlight E/G#E Your face it glows
