I authored the first version a long time ago and found
a lot of mistakes, but stupidly authored as anonymous
so I couldn't edit my chords. I also always transpose
down 3 steps, so I'm writing this for Capo 3. Feel free
to mess with the transposition on the sidebar to find what
is most comfortable for you! (And +3 is piano chords)
Also, final note: The Bb chords in the verses are the actual
chord, but I find the sound of a full barred F to sound better--
Just personal preference.
[Intro]
C7 (8 beats), Gm (8), Bb (4), Em (4), A (4)
C7
I don't fall slow like I used to
Gm
I fall straight down
Bb Em
You've stolen my air catcher
A
That kept me safe and sound
C7
My parachutes will guide me
Gm
Safely to ground
Bb Em
But now the cord's not working
A
And I see you staring me down
[Chorus]
Dm
I won't fall in
Bb
Love with falling
F A
I will try to avoid
(A, let ring)
Those eyes
Dm (8), Bb (8), F (8), A (5)
[End Chorus]
C7
I think you would beat
Gm
The moon in a pretty contest
Bb Em
And the moon just happened to be
A
The very first thing that I missed
C7
I was doing fine on my own
Gm
And there wasn't much I lacked
Bb Em
But you've stolen my air catcher
A
And I don't know if I want it back
[Chorus, repeat as above]
Dm
'Cause I'm not sure
Bb
I want to give you
F
Tools that can
A Dm
Destroy my heart
(Dm) F
And I just don't say
G
What you want to hear
Bb C
So I'll write my fears
Dm F
And I don't believe
G
In talking just to breathe
Bb C
And falling selfishly
[Chorus, repeat as above]
Dm
But now I'm here
Bb
To give you words
F A
As tools that can destroy
Dm
My heart
