Timothy Charles Buckley III (February 14, 1947 – June 29, 1975) was an experimental vocalist and performer who incorporated jazz, psychedelia, funk, soul, and avant-garde rock, in a short career spanning the late 1960s and early 1970s, ending with his death at age 28 from an alcohol-heroin overdose.
Buckley often regarded his tenor voice as an instrument, a talent most noticeable on his albums Happy Sad, Lorca, and Starsailor. His first marriage was to Mary Guibert, with whom he had a child, musician Jeff Buckley.

Morning Glory (Beckett-Buckley)
TIM BUCKLEY From Goodbye And Hello, 1967
(capoed at the first fret)
GCmaj7 I lit my purest candle close to my GCmaj7 Window, hoping it would catch the eye GCmaj7 Of any vagabond who passed it by AmCG And I waited in my fleeting house
Before he came I felt him drawing near As he neared I felt the ancient fear That he had come to wound my door, and jeer And I waited in my fleeting house
DCEmCmaj7 "Tell me stories," I called to the Hobo; DCEmCmaj7 "Stories of cold," I smiled at the Hobo; DCEmCmaj7 "Stories of old," I knelt to the Hobo; AmCG And he stood before me in my fleeting house
"No," said the Hobo, "No more tales of time; Don't ask me now to wash away the grime; I can't come in 'cause it's too high a climb," And he walked away from my fleeting house
"Then you be damned!" I screamed to the Hobo; "Leave me alone," I wept to the Hobo; "Turn into stone," I knelt to the Hobo; And he walked away from my fleeting house
Outro: D / / / C / Em / Cmaj7
