Kaya es un cantante japonés de estética visual kei. popular por sus excéntricas vesitementas
Kaya siempre supo que quería ser músico desde que tenía tres años de edad. Empezó a escribir canciones cuando tenía 14. Más tarde se mudó a Tokio.
A los 17 años Kaya comenzó su carrera musical. En 1998 bajo el seudónimo de ? (Hime, princesa en japonés) estuvo como vocalista en el grupo Meties (1998-1999). Al poco tiempo se separaron, entonces Hime pasó a formar parte del grupo gothic-rock ISOLA (2000-2001).
