Kate Wolf (born Kathryn Louise Allen in San Francisco, California, USA) (January 27, 1942 – December 10, 1986) was an American folk singer and songwriter.
Wolf didn't get her recording career going until the mid-'70s, by which time she was well into her thirties. Prior to emerging as a solo artist, she had headed the band Wildwood Flower (who backed her on her first two albums), and organized folk concerts and festivals in Northern California. Very much a self-starter
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Redtail Hawk - Kate Wolf -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a very simple song, only using two chords, Am and G. I tend to play this with a strumming pattern of: DDUDDU
Intro: AmGAm
AmGAm The redtail hawk writes songs across the sky, AmGAm There's music in the waters flowing by, AmGAm And you can hear a song each time the wind sighs, AmGAm In the golden rolling hills of California.
AmGAm It's been so long love since you said goodbye, AmGAm My cabin's been as lonesome as a cry, AmGAm There's comfort in the clouds drifting by, AmGAm In the golden rolling hills of California.
AmGAm A neighbour came today to lend a hand, AmGAm As I fixed the road as best as I can, AmGAm It's just something that needs a man's hand, AmGAm In the golden rolling hills of California, AmGAm In the golden rolling hills of California.
