The Grass Roots aka simply Grass Roots, were a hugely successful pop rock group that despite charting 29 Top 100 singles from 1967 to 1972 and being on the Billboard charts an astounding 307 straight weeks during that time, never quite had a number 1 single. Their music, largely a product of top production and songwriting talents of the era, remains a staple of 60's & 70's oldies radio stations, and many movie soundtracks.
