Anberlin was formed in 2002 in Winter Haven, FL, USA and disbanded after the release of their final album, lowborn, in 2014. Their debut album, Blueprints for the Black Market, was quite successful. Spurred on by popular singles Readyfuels and Change the World, it sold over 60,000 copies and raised Anberlin's profile. They released their sophomore album, Never Take Friendship Personal, in February 2005. The album was praised by critics, garnering favourable reviews and winning the band new fans.
This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
[Verse 1] Am Don't try to wake me up GAm Even if the sun really does come out tomorrow Am Don't believe anything you say G Anymore in the morn in the morning Am Bricks to this old house are breaking G Steel would have weathered but now forlorning AmG It's alarming how loud the silence screams G No warn no warn no warning AmG Addictions fill the table where the family used to sit GAm And conversate Conversate to the sounds Am To the sounds of a record player GAm With it's jumping needle and the lights that grow dim over time
[Chorus] AmCG With downcast eyes GAm There's more to living than being alive AmCG With downcast eyes GAm There's more to living than being alive
[Verse 2] Am Are you where you thought you'd be G So beautiful and only twenty-three Am Opposition rests in the hearts G With no with no with no opportunity Am It's not that we don't talk G It's just no one really listens and honesty fades Am Like a politician lost in the course GAm All smiles and no one remembers our names
(Chorus) x2
Am Don't try to wake me up GAm Even if the sun really does come out tomorrow Am Don't believe anything I say G Anymore in the morn in the morning
