Gene Parsons Long Way Back written by Gene Parsons
C#mF# Well it's a long way back to the things I know are real BE And it's a long way back to the things that I can feel C#mF# And it's a long way back to a green and growing tree BE And it's a long way back to what there used to be AG#mF#mE I been troublin', I been troublin' about all the things I hear AC#mF#mB I been troublin', I been troublin' about the earth's progress career C#mF# And I travelled that road just as often as I can BE Just to spend an hour or lifetime, to walk barefooted on the land C#mF# And I travelled that road even if it's in my mind BE To a place that's fit for every living kind^? AG#mF#mE I been troublin', I been troublin' about all there is to do AC#mF#mB I been troublin', I been troublin' 'cause I know the waiting's through
