Shadows On The Wall Recorded by Jean Shepard Written by Tommy Reiff and Ronnie Badger
CF Though the door was open wide not a sound came from inside G7C So I looked and saw two shadows on the wall F One was new and strange to me one my sweetheart dear to me G7C How it hurt to see those shadows on the wall
FC They were kissing like true lovers always do D7G7 Right then and there I knew that we were through CF So I turned and walked away broken hearted to this day G7C All because of those two shadows on the wall
F Not a tear came to my eyes I was hurt too much to cry G7C By that faithful kiss of shadows on the wall F Now I know the misery of living with the memory G7C Of that night I saw those shadows on the wall
FC If my heart could only fall for someone new D7G7 But it's afraid to take the chance it's true CF Nothing seems to heal the wound guess that I'm forever doomed G7C To be haunted by the shadows on the wall
