Elastica were a Britpop band formed in London, England in 1992 and made up of: Justine Frischmann (vocals and guitar), Donna Matthews (guitar and vocals), Annie Holland (bass), and Justin Welch (drums). Later members included Shelia Chipperfield (bass), Dave Bush (keyboards), Paul Jones (guitar), and Sharon Mew (keyboards and vocals).
Their first single was 1993's "Stutter", which was a word-of-mouth hit largely due to the promotional efforts of Radio 1 DJ and Deceptive Records label boss Steve Lamacq.

I learned this song from the acoustic demo on some B-sides (if you want to know, it's on the "Connection" single in the UK, and the "Stutter" single in Europe and Austrailia)
On the album version there's some really strange intro thing, and I don't know how it goes. Basically, the whole song is 4 chords...
A, F, E, and D
wow, isn't that hard!
here's how it goes with the lyrics
AF John's gone his sense is loaded EDA over by your house it's so basic FED I think you're faking have a good time but don't get into my head AF Do you recommend I wait a while ED direct and live or keep it constant and selective
Chorus:
A Blue FED I can read your mind, if you want to I will let you A Blue FED I can read your mind, if you want to I will let you
(after the chorus bit, on the album version, acoustic just repeats the first verse)
AFED
AFED John's gone, he needs attention do you understand his inclination? AFED I've seen you shaking, comedown here and I'll show you the wrong way AFF try to rearrange this tired old line connect this smile and D keep it standard and reflective
Repeat chorus
End with the bridge
AFE(slow down here) DA
