Diplo, Diplodocus, Wes Gully, and Wes Diplo son todos seudónimos de Wesley Pentz, Productor y DJ de la ciudad de Philadelphia.
Junto a DJ Low Budget creó el colectivo Hollertronix en la ciudad de Philadelphia, EEUU. Lanzaron un Mix CD llamado Never Scared con el que consiguieron algún renombre.
En 2004 lanzó Florida, en referencia a su estado natal, un disco de sonido downtempo para el sello Ninja Tune.
Además, entre el 2004 y el 2005, editó un par de compilaciones de funk carioca -el cual describe como una mezcla de "Punk rock
