CAPO: 5th Fret

INTRO: G

Jesus in the harbour stands

One foot on water, one on land

His life a gift, his life a curse

No sign of heaven here on earth

The kaleidoscope of the evening news

And the hangman mounts the gallows steps
C
Slips the rope around the neck

And the prisoner on the scaffold stands
C
His fate in the hooded hangman's hand

And some they sit and they see right through
G
The kaleidoscope of the evening news

CHORUS:
C F C
And some they sit and they see right through

He's just a hooded target now
C
About to take his final bow

G
The kaleidoscope of the evening news
