Clock DVA

Blue Tone

by Clock DVA
Clock DVA

Biography:

Clock DVA is an electronic music group from Sheffield, England. Originally founded, in late-1977, by Adi Newton and Steven Turner. They were first known for experimental electronic music.

They became associated with industrial music with the 1980 release of their album White Souls in Black Suits on Industrial Records, although in reality the early material that predates this release is a blend of extreme electronics and frequencies that was heard only by a spartan few, including Jhon Balance and other notaries.

Title: Blue Tone

F#m E E F#m C# x3

F#m E
No new words

No letters
E F#m
No postcards
C# F#m E
I'm alone, dislocated
E
I feel intense
F#m
I wait for night to fall
F#m E
I sit in silence on my own
C# F#m E
Waiting for you to call but you never call

Dmaj7 E Dmaj7 C# Dmaj7
This is your blue tone calling I wrote it for you
Dmaj7 E Dmaj7 C# Dmaj7
This is your blue tone signaling and it's for you

F#m E E F#m C#

F#m E
Blue walls stained blue
E F#m
Blue room so cold so ill
F#m E
I stagger out
E F#m F#m E
The silence and darkness forbears on my soul

I am alone
E F#m C#
Waiting for you to call

Dmaj7 E Dmaj7 C# Dmaj7
This is your blue tone calling I wrote it for you
Dmaj7 E Dmaj7 C# Dmaj7
This is your blue tone signaling and it's for you

F#m E E F#m C#
(some improv)

Dmaj7 E Dmaj7 C# Dmaj7 x2

F#m E E F#m C#

F#m F#m E E
We were going to see a film remember
F#m C# F#m
Something about blue grass
E E
Something deep in the south
F#m C# F#m
I can't be too clear
E E F#m
Maybe it was the empire of senses
F#m
It's not too clear

Dmaj7 E Dmaj7 C# Dmaj7
This is your blue tone calling I wrote it for you
Dmaj7 E Dmaj7 C# Dmaj7
This is your blue tone signaling and it's for you
E C# Dmaj
I wrote this blue tone and dedicated it to you
E F#m Dmaj7
You went and left me in my blue tone
