Chris Sligh is a married, 32 year old finalist on the sixth season of American Idol, eliminated in 10th place. He was born in Greenville, South Carolina and used to be the lead singer of the band Half Past Forever (Formerly known as The Chris Sligh Band). They recorded an album called "Take A Chance On Something Beautiful" for which Chris wrote 11 and co-wrote 4 of the 17 tracks.
In 2008, Sligh released his first album as a solo artist, entitled "Running Back To You," featuring four redone Half Past Forever songs.
