Bandera Latina

Sardegna Mia

by Bandera Latina
Bandera Latina

Biography:

Bandera Latina specializes in Rumba Flamenca, a style derived from flamenco and made popular by the Gipsy Kings. Beside this they play a wide variety of styles. Another important influence is Italian music. This can be found in their program in the many Italian songs the band plays. On the whole, Bandera Latina, chooses it's covers with care, avoiding the obvious choices and instead opting for the more obscure (but often beautiful) songs from the Spanish and Italian repertoire.

Sardegna Mia.
Artist: Bandera Latina
Album: Sardegna mia

This is a great song. On first hearing you might think
it's a walz but it's not! It's actualy a tricky 6/8 time
signature with primary accents on 1 and 4 with secundary accents
on 5 6. Although the cords used are really straightforward,
they are used in a smart way. In the chorus you'll
notice the changes to major. This lifts up the song in a very nice
way.

It's an advanced flamenco 'thing' good luck with this one!
