By most accounts, George Jones (born George Glenn Jones September 12, 1931 in Saratoga, Texas, died April 26, 2013, in Nashville, Tennessee), was the finest vocalist in the recorded history of country music. Initially, he was a hardcore honky tonker in the tradition of Hank Williams, but over the course of his career he developed an affecting, nuanced ballad style. In the course of his career, he never left the top of the country charts, even as he suffered innumerable personal and professional difficulties.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
Two Story House Recorded by George Jones and Tammy Wynette Written by Glenn D. Tubb, Dave Lindsey, Tammy Wynette
CG7C We always wanted a big two story house G7C Back when we lived in that little two room shack C7F We wanted fame and fortune and we'd live life the way the rich folks do CG7C We knew some how we'd make it together me and you
G7C With dreams and hopes of things to come we worked and never stopped G7C Not much time for you and me we had to reach the top C7F We bought that big two story house and soon became the envy of the town CG7C With all our work behind us we'd finally settle down
FG7 Now we live yes we live in a two story house CFG7 Whoa what splendor but there's no love about CG7CF I've got my story and I've got mine too CG7C How sad it is we now live in a two story house
G7C The house is filled with rare antiques there's marble on the floor G7C Beauty all around us like we've never seen before C7F There's chandeliers in every room imported silks and satin all about CG7C We filled the house with everything but somehow left love out
