Fall Out Boy is a band formed in 2001 in Glenview, Illinois after good friends Joe Trohman and Pete Wentz met high schooler Patrick Stump. Stump originally auditioned as a drummer, but soon became the lead singer. The following year, the band debuted with a self-released demo and followed it up with the May 28, 2002 release of Split EP, which featured Project Rocket, on Uprising Records. The group released a mini-LP, Evening Out With Your Girlfriend, also on Uprising Records, in 2003.

F# Stuck in the jet wash B Bad trip I couldn't get off D#m And maybe I bit off more than I could chew B And overhead of the aqua blue
F# Fall to your knees bring on the rapture B Blessed be the boys time can't capture D#m On film or between the sheets B I always fall from your window to the pitch black streets
B And with the black banners raised D#m As the crooked smiles fade BD#m Former heroes who quit too late BD#mC# Just wanna fill up the trophy case again
[Chorus]
F#B And in the end I'd do it all again D#m I think you're my best friend B Don't you know that the kids aren't all kids aren't alright F#B I'll be yours when it rains it pours D#m Stay thirsty like before B Don't you know that the kids aren't all kids aren't alright
[Verse]
F# I'm not passive but aggressive B Take note it's not impressive D#m Empty your sadness like you're dumping your purse B On my bedroom floor we put your curse in reverse
F# And it's our time now if you want to to be B Maul the world like a carnival bear set free D#m And your love is anemic and I can't believe B That you couldn't see it coming from me
BD#m And I still feel that rush in my veins BD#m It twists my head just a bit too thin BD#mC# All those people in those old photographs I've seen are dead
[Chorus]
F#B And in the end I'd do it all again D#m I think you're my best friend B Don't you know that the kids aren't all kids aren't alright F#B I'll be yours when it rains it pours D#m Stay thirsty like before B Don't you know that the kids aren't all kids aren't alright
[Bridge]
D#mF#B And sometimes I just want to sit around and gaze at my shoes yeah D#mF#B And let your dirty sadness fill me up just like a balloon
[Chorus]
F#B And in the end I'd do it all again D#m I think you're my best friend B Don't you know that the kids aren't all kids aren't alright F#B I'll be yours when it rains it pours D#m Stay thirsty like before B Don't you know that the kids aren't all kids aren't alright
