John Prine (born October 10, 1946 in Maywood, Illinois-died April 7, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee) was an American country/folk singer-songwriter who has achieved widespread critical (and some commercial) success since the early 1970s.
The son of William Prine and Verna Hamm, his grandfather had played guitar with Merle Travis and he started playing guitar himself at 14 years old. He was a postman for 5 years and spent a couple of years in the army before starting his musical career in the Chicago area.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

Day Is Done.......John Prine
Inro: GDADGDAD
GD Do you like me? Well I hope you do, AD Cause if you like me, then I think I'm gonna have to like you too. GD We'll share our things, and have some fun, AD Then we'll say goodbye, and go back home when the day is done. GD If you tell me, I'll tell you too. AD And we'll say the things and do the things that lovers do. GD We'll keep it to ourselves, we won't hurt no one. AD Then we'll say goodbye, and go back home when the day is done. GD We'll carve our names, on a tree, AD Then we'll burn it down so no one in the world will see. GD And we'll make love, while we watch the flame AD Then we'll walk away as if we never had no shame. GD Now we must hide, to be alone, AD And we can't say our sweet things on the telephone. GD If we can't stop, what we've begun, AD We should say goodbye and go back home when the day is done. GD Do you still like me? Well I hope you do. AD Cause if you still like me then I think I'm gonna have to still like you. GD We shared our things, and had some fun AD Now we'll say goodbye and go back home when the day is done. AD Yeah, we'll say goodbye and go back home while we still have one. AD Let's say goodbye, and go back home now the day is done.
