John Anthony Frusciante (born in New York on March 5th 1970) though probably best known for his time as guitarist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, is a respected, acclaimed and prolific solo artist in his own right. Joining the Chili Peppers in 1988 after the death of Hillel Slovak, the band's original guitarist, Frusciante was featured on both Mother's Milk and Blood Sugar Sex Magik. However, John's rise was short lived. On May 7th, 1992, John quit the band just before the Chili Peppers were due on stage.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
Artist: John Frusciante Album: Outsides EP Song: Same
Tabbed By: Frazer H.
The Song modulates many many times but does so in a repeating fashion. the following isnt perfect but the order of the modulations(key changes) is correct. that much i am sure of. Here is the chord progression/bassline/key changes that the song follows:
| Em | Em | Bm | Am | bars 1-8 key is G Major// E minor | Em | Em | Bm | Am |
| Dbm | Dbm | Abm | F#m |Bars 9-16 key is E Major// C# minor | Dbm | Dbm | Abm | F#m |
| Gm | Gm | Dm | Cm |Bars 17-24 key is Bb Major// G minor | Gm | Gm | Dm | Cm |
| Bm | Bm | F#m | Em |Bars 25-28 key is D major//B minor | Cm | Cm | Gm | Fm |Bars 29-32 key is Eb Major//C minor
Repeat for the entire song. the whole sequince starts over at the beginning, at 1:17, at 2:34, at 3:50, at 5:07, etc etc
This is the modulation structure of the song, over which you can now solo over and melt faces with your huge blazing guitar nuts.
