************************************** SONG: Changes in Latitudes [Intro] GDAGD
DG I took off for a weekend last month AD Just to try and recall the whole year G All of the faces and all of the places AD Wonderin' where they all disappeared BmF#m I didn't ponder the question too long GA I was hungry and went out for a bite GD Ran into a chum with a bottle of rum AD and we wound up drinkin' all night
[Chorus] GD It's these changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes AD Nothing remains quite the same GD With all of our running and all of our cunning AGD if we couldn't laugh we would all go insane
Reading departure signs in some big airport Reminds me of the places I've been Visions of good times that brought so much pleasure Makes me want to go back again If it suddenly ended tomorrow I could somehow adjust to the fall Good times and riches and son of a bitches I've seen more than I can recall
[Chorus] These changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes Nothing remains quite the same Through all of the islands and all of the highlands If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane
(Repeat Intro chords)
I think about Paris when I'm high on red wine I wish I could jump on a plane So many nights I just dream of the ocean God I wish I was sailin' again Oh, yesterday's over my shoulder So I can't look back for too long There's just too much to see waiting in front of me And I know that I just can't go wrong
[Chorus] With these changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes Nothing remains quite the same With all of my running and all of my cunning If I couldn't laugh I just would go insane If we couldn't laugh we just would go insane AFCGDAD If we weren't all crazy we would go insane

************************************** SONG: In The Shelter
[Intro] AEAE
E In the shelter A In the mornin' as the sun is brightly gleaming F#m I heard her crying out, "What is it all about? EAE I just don't know, but I can't go back home"
E Lonely princess A All the days out on your own are growing empty F#m Nothing is going well E If you could only tell them how you feel AE But they're too real to understand
[Chorus] A Too many trite expressions E Ending in forced rejections long ago A To many innocent faces E In too many far out places somethings wrong B Let me tell you that somethings wrong AE It's been that way so long, and it's a shame
On the street car To the city where she knows she may lose it all Riding for just a dime, takin' her own sweet time And knowing well that this could be her final fall
Past the boutique To the alley down the river, people pass her by She sits on a big gray rock, takes off her boots and socks Not knowin' what she will do next just starts to cry
[Chorus] A Too many wild rejections E Endin' in angry questions from her dad A Too many T.V. dinners E Ah, everyone loves a winner, but she was lost AE No one knows the trials she had
(Repeat first verse, then) EAEAEAE Hell, I just don't know, but I can't go back home (fade)
************************************** SONG: Miss You So Badly
CF I guess it all blew up in Missoula CG7C There just was no other way FCG7C After months of goin' crazy, there was nothin' left to say Am But when the dust had finally settled D7 And the air had quickly cleared FG7CC7 Whoa, things were better off than I had feared
[Chorus] FC (And I,) Miss you so badly, girl I love you madly GCC7 Feelin' so sad now since I been gone, gone, gone FC It gets quite confusin', it seems that I'm loosin' GC Track of the long days since I been home
We're stayin' in a Holiday Inn full of surgeons I guess they meet there once a year They exchange physician's stories And get drunk on Tuborg beer And then they're off to catch a stripper With their eyes glued to her "G" But I don't think that I would ever let 'em cut on me
[Chorus] (And I,) Miss you so badly, girl I love you madly I think I've been had though for stayin' so long, long, long And I'm, just watchin' the Gong Show, waitin' for Zorro Losin' the long days since I been home
(Solo)
I got a head full of feelin' higher And an ear full of Patsy Cline There is just no one who can touch her Hell, I'll hang on every line Oh, crazy how things happen, it's incredible but true The longer I'm gone the closer I feel to you
[Chorus] (And I,) Miss you so badly, girl I love you madly I'm feelin' so glad just to be headin' home, home, home I've been, battlin' motel maids, and chewin' on Rolaids Countin' the hours till I get home Whoa I been, countin' the hours till I get home
A Down around Biloxi D Pretty girls are swimmin' in the sea A They all look like sisters in the ocean DA Boy will fill his pale with salty water GDA And the storms will blow from off towards New Orleans
A The Sun shines on Biloxi D The air is filled with vapors from the sea A The boy will dig a pool beside the ocean DA He sees creatures from his dreams underwater GDA And the Sun will set from off towards New Orleans
(solo) GDA GDA
Stars can see Biloxi Stars can find their faces in the sea We are walking down beside the ocean We are splashing naked in the water And the sky is red from off towards New Orleans
GACG Now what would they do if I just sailed away GACG Who the hell really compelled me to leave today GACG Runnin' low on stories of what made it a ball GACG What would they do if I made no landfall
I lived half my life in an eight by five room Just crusin' to the sound of the big diesel boom It's not close quarters that would make me snap It's just dealing with the daily unadulterated crap
[Chorus] (see below for notes on "Run") "Run" EAG Sail away, for a month at a time "Run" EAG Sail away, I've got to restart my mind AGbG And you'll find me back at it a - gain
Now I love the smell of fresh snapper fried light What you say pouilly-fusse to round out the night The mid-morning watch is the best time to look Oh, what would they do if I wrote the big book
'Cause I've seen incredible things in my years Some days were laughter and others were tears If I had it all to do over again I'd just get myself drunk and I'd jump right back in
[Chorus] Sail away, that's the way I survive Sail away, that's just no shuck and jive But it makes my whole life come alive
[Solo] (based on verse and chorus chords)
The wind whistles through the cold riggin' at night Crazy crowds boogie to the sound and the lights Bums down in Capo's, he's just havin' a ball Oh, what would he do on another landfall What would they do if I made no landfall Oh, what would they do if I flew to Nepal What would I do if I met Lucile Ball I'm tryin' to make a little sense of it all Just tryin' to make a little sense of it all
(Repeat Intro chords twice and fade)
------------------------------------------------------------------ "Run" notes: this notates to play a "run" of the notes (G, Gb, E) as a lead-in to the E chord of the chorus. Here's a Tab example: e|-------------------| b|-------------------| g|--------------1----| d|--------------2----| a|--------------2----| E|--3--2--0----------| GGbEE (chord)
** also, on the "Gb" note (last line of chorus), I play just the note on the E (bass) string to lead-in to the G chord. As always, listen to the song to get it just right. MAH
