Jesus Culture began in the summer of 1999, when the youth group at Bethel Church in Redding, California, led by Banning Liebscher, launched the first Jesus Culture conference.
During this time they began leading worship at Jesus Culture conferences both nationally and internationally and thus the Jesus Culture band was formed.
The band consists of Kim Walker-Smith (Vocals) and Chris Quilala (Vocals and Guitar) as worship leaders along with Jeffrey Kunde (Lead Guitar), Brandon Aaronson (Bass), Ian McIntosh (Keys) and Josh Fisher (Drums).
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
Note: I wrote this out as I did so that you can easily strum along to this version without a capo, though they do actually play this with a capo on the 2nd fret. If you want to play it with a capo on the 2nd fret then replace the chord shapes above with C, Fmaj7, Dm7, and C/E.
