Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century, he is often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" or simply "the King".
Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, with his family when he was 13 years old. His music career began there in 1954, recording at Sun Records with producer Sam Phillips, who wanted to bring the sound of African American music to a wider audience.

My Way recorded by Elvis Presley Written by J. Revaux and C. Francois, Paul Anka
CEm And now the end is near GmA7 And so I face the final curtain Dm My friend I'll say it clear G7C I'll state my case of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full FFm I've traveled each and every highway CG7 And more much more than this FC I did it my way
Em Regrets I've had a few GmA7 But then again too few to mention Dm I did what I had to do G7C And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course FFm Each careful step along the byway CG7 And more much more than this FC I did it my way
Yes there were times I'm sure you knew F When I bit off more than I could chew DmG7 But through it all when there was doubt EmAm I ate it up and spit it out DmG7 I faced it all and I stood tall C And did it my way
Em I've loved I've laughed and cried GmA7 I've had my fill my share of losing Dm And now as tears subside G7C I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that FFm And may I say not in a shy way CG7 No oh no not me FC I did it my way
For what is a man what has he got F If not himself then he has naught DmG7 To say the words he truly feels EmAm And not the words of one who kneels DmG7 The record shows I took the blows C And did it my way
DmG7 The record shows I took the blows C And did it my way
