Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century, he is often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" or simply "the King".
Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, with his family when he was 13 years old. His music career began there in 1954, recording at Sun Records with producer Sam Phillips, who wanted to bring the sound of African American music to a wider audience.

Love Coming Down Recorded by Elvis Presley Written by Jerry Chesnut
CC7 I remember how your eyes used to light up F Over promises that I made G7 But for the first time in my life FC I know now how it feels to be afraid
I don't know what I'd do if you go away C7F This would sure be one lonely old town G7CF For a man's so busy going up in the world G7 That he couldn't see love coming down C Love coming down
C7 I remember all the times you told me F Love's all that matters to you G7 And looking back now wondering how I believed FC I had things more important to do
I can see how I must have looked to you C7F Like some fool on a merry-go-round G7CF And that a man's so busy going up in the world G7 That he couldn't see love going down C Love going down
G7F Can't you see how everything I've learned G7CG7 Would just be wasted if you le-ave me C If you just give one more try G7CG7 I swear I'll always be here when you n-eed me
CFC If you can find it in your heart to forgive me F I'll try to keep both my feet on the ground G7CF But if a man's so busy going up in the world G7 That he couldn't see love coming down C Love coming down
