D7D7G7A7 Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do D7 My thoughts are dark and empty I'm not crying out loud G7 Don't know what am I asking for if an answer can be found D7 The loneliness is killing, though there’s someone in my bed G7 There's only so much living that I fear I could be dead E7 But then standing at my window when the night seems like it's won A7 N/C And everything seems brighter with the sign of the sun And I said
Chorus D7D7 Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do Do D7 Oh my God, it's good to be alive, oh my God, it's good to be alive G7 I know one thing for sure is that I'll die, but today, yeah, it's good to be alive
D7 Lying in my bedroom, my eyes are wide awake G7 My body's tired and given up, oh, for heaven’s sake D7 Won't you please send me a little sleep, to ease my worried mind? G7 I'm losing rationality, that I won't know how to find E7 But then standing at my window when, the night seems like it’s won A7 N/C And everything seems brighter, with the sign of the sun And I said
Chorus D7 Things are looking up for me, when the clock keeps ticking on G7 Holding on to time gone by, clinging to a song D7 To pull me through with every word, or rock me with a tune G7 And hold my hand with the shadow man, who’s hiding in my room E7 But then standing at my window when, the night seems like it’s won A7 N/C And everything seems brighter, with the sign of the sun And I said
Chorus x2 D7 Do Do Do It’s good to be alive Do Do Do It’s good to be alive
