Born in the small town of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Griffin was raised on the lake and has always had a love for anything on the water. Growing up, Griffin was obsessed with listening to music and would often find himself staying up into the late hours of the night scouring the newest releases. During this time, he was influenced by all sorts of music including his Dad’s love for classic rock and blues. At the age of 12, his father, an avid guitar player himself, gave Griffin his first guitar for Christmas.

Em7G Seeing something from so far away Dsus4 Get a little closer every day Cadd9 Thinking that I want to make it mine Em7G I’d run for you if I could stand Dsus4 But what I want I can’t demand Cadd9 Cuz what I want is you
Em7G And if I can’t be yours now Dsus4 I’ll wait here on this ground Cadd9 Til you come, til you take me away Em7 Maybe someday G Maybe someday

Em7G I try to ignore what you say Dsus4 You turn to me, I turn away. Cadd9 But Cupid must have shot me twice Em7G I smell your perfume on my bed Dsus4 Thoughts of you invade my head Cadd9 Truths are written, never said
Em7G And if I can’t be yours now Dsus4 I’ll wait here on this ground Cadd9 Til you come, til you take me away Em7 Maybe someday G Maybe someday

Em7G You say it’s wrong, but it feels right Dsus4 You cut me loose, then hold on tight Cadd9 Words unfinished, like our song Em7G Nothing good can come this way Dsus4 Lines are drawn, but then they fade Cadd9 For her I bend, for you I break Em7G And if I can’t be yours now Dsus4 I’ll wait here on this ground Cadd9 Til you come, til you take me away Em7 Maybe someday G Maybe someday
