Dr. Dog is a indie rock group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which formed in 1999. The current lineup consists of Scott "Taxi" McMicken (vocals, guitar), Toby "Tables" Leaman (vocals, bass), Zach "Text" Miller (keyboards, guitar), Frank "Thanks" McElroy (guitar) and Eric "Teach" Slick (drums).
"There's a little folk, blues, indie rock, soul, bluegrass--and a whole lot of down-home harmonizing. It conjures images of old friends sitting on a porch swapping instruments and just letting the tape recorder run." - Doug Wallen

D Where'd all the time go G It's starting to fly D See how the hands go G Waving goodbye
EmA And you know I get so forgetful D when I look in your eyes
D Now she's walking backwards G through a parade D And I'm stuck in the shadow G blocking the shade
EmA And there ain't no way to sweep up the D mess that we've made EmA She gets dressed up like a pillow so she's G always in bed F#mBm Flowers for the sick and dead GF#mBm She's on the go way too fast and way too slow GF#mBm She'll turn to stone at hospitals and funeral homes GA and when the fog rises somebody sighs D who is not in disguise anymore
There's nothing to keep you from falling in love It starts at the bottom and comes from above
Like pieces of a puzzle like a hand in a glove She gets dressed up like a pillow so she's always in bed
Flowers for the sick and dead She's on the go way too fast and way too slow She'll turn and stop at hospitals and funeral homes and when the tide rises somebody sinks and is gone in the blink of an eye
