D And this boot of mine wants to kick that pedal G Square in the face
D This ain't that kinda night
There ain't a finish line G No, this ain't a race
D I bought the bench not the buckets
And I'm feeling lucky G Slide on into me baby
CHORUS: D We're taking our sweet time AG In a real fast car
Ain't running no, running no
D Red lights tonight AG Just sitting in park
D Yeah, hugging every curve A Of your long lane road G 400 horses on a slow road
DAG That Camaro kiss, two lonely hearts
D Yeah, we're taking our sweet time AG In a real fast car
D Yeah, yeah, yeah

VERSE: D Well, two kids starting fire
And that cigarette lighter G Don't even work, eh ha
D It's a windows fogging up
Kinda love spitting through G A torn up Haggard t-shirt
D Well take those big blue eyes
Baby watch those thighs G Don't knock us outta first
D Yeah, the heat is on the rise
I'm trying to memorize G Every single one of your curves
CHORUS: D We're taking our sweet time AG In a real fast car
Ain't running no, running no
D Red lights tonight AG Just sitting in park
D Yeah, hugging every curve A Of your long lane road G 400 horses on a slow road
DAG That Camaro kiss, two lonely hearts
D Yeah, we're taking our sweet time AG In a real fast car
BREAK: Bm With the radio on
Riding the brakes
G We ain't got nothing
But time to waste
Bm So let's take
The long way home girl G Whatcha say
CHORUS: D Yeah, We're taking our sweet time AG In a real fast car
Ain't running no, running no
D Red lights tonight AG Just sitting in park
D Oh, hugging every curve A Of your long lane road G 400 horses on a slow road
DAG That Camaro kiss, two lonely hearts
D Yeah, we're taking our sweet time AG In a real fast car
D Yeah, now we're taking our sweet time AG In a real fast car
DEm Yeah, yeah, yeah
