E If you wanted to be,

If you wanted to be with me,

F Or me. The only thing stopping you from being with me, G Is that you don't want to be with me.
(Bret):
G7 It's the same with me, except with me.
Bridge 2:
(Bret):
E7 But if you did, I'd hold you tight every single night. F And we'd fall asleep together and we'd wake up in the sunlight. G Well, maybe I'm a dreamer, but maybe one day you'll see, G7 That dreams are...
(Jemaine):
(n.C) Yeah, yeah, she gets it; stop cock-blocking me.
Break:
(Jemaine):
FG Who knows what makes love stop or start? F I can't help but think, G That now you're engaged we're drifting apart.
FG Who am I to say that love will last? It won't or it will, F But maybe Mark will be involved in an accident, G And you'll get a life insurance payment of half a mil... G7 It's not about the money, but it could set, us up financially. C If you came back to me.
(Bret):
Or me.
Chorus 3:
(Bret):
(Spoken):
CE Sally, I wrote this song, so I could tell you how much I love you. FGG7 Quite a lot, actually. Even sometimes more than my current girlfriend.

(Spoken):
E7F Sally, I co-wrote this song, to tell you how much I love you, It's quite a lot, actually. G Well, he's said basically; just the same thing... I think he's been looking over at my bit of paper, G7 Except with the girlfriend bit.
Chorus 4:
(Bret):
C Ooh, I love you,
(Jemaine):
I love you, you, you, you,
(Bret):
E Ooh, and I need you,
(Jemaine):
F I need you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you.
(Bret):
G I need to be with you,
(Jemaine):
G7 Ditto that.
(Bret):
E7 'Cos you and me, we were meant to be.
(Jemaine):
Bret's got a girlfriend.
(Bret):
F But Sally and me, we were meant to be.
(Jemaine):
Bret, you've got a girlfriend.
(Bret):
Yeah well, G I'd break it off with her if I knew Sally wanted to be with me.
(Jemaine):
G7 Just so you know Sally, unlike Bret; I'm available immediately.
