Eric Carmen (former vocalist of The Raspberries) is a pop/rock musician and singer-songwriter well known for his first single "All By Myself" (released in 1976) and his 1987 comeback single "Hungry Eyes" (written by J. DeNicola and F. Previte for the iconic 'Dirty Dancing' soundtrack). The former, a smooth ballad, was penned by Carmen based on a classical theme by Sergei Rachmaninoff. It was more recently covered by Celine Dion and also used in the opening scene of the movie 'Bridget Jones' Diary'.

GBm I know it's over, you know it's over CG We're just goin' through the motions AmB7Em But we're sailin' separate oceans worlds apart GC And you know it's breakin' my heart
GBm I was a dreamer, you were a dreamer CG But perfection is consuming AmB7Em And it seems we're only human after all GC And we've both been takin' the fall
Chorus: BmEm But tomorrow we'll run a little bit faster CDBmEm Tomorrow we're gonna find what we're after at last CF#sus4GD Feelings that we left in the past, there's romance in the sunset CDG We're boats against the current to the end
Maybe we're older, maybe we're colder So we disregard solutions While we cling to our illusions once again And we keep rememberin' when
Seasons are changin', reasons are changin' But the story isn't ending So we find ourselves pretending one more day While the years keep slippin' away
