Elvis Aaron Presley (January 8, 1935 – August 16, 1977) was an American singer and actor. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century, he is often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" or simply "the King".
Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, and relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, with his family when he was 13 years old. His music career began there in 1954, recording at Sun Records with producer Sam Phillips, who wanted to bring the sound of African American music to a wider audience.

CEm And now, the end is near; Gm6A7 and so I face the final curtain. DmDm7 My friend, I'll say it clear, G7C I'll state my case, of which I'm certain. CC7 I've lived a life that s full, FFm I've traveled each and every highway CG7 And more, much more than this, F6C I did it my way.
[Verse 2]
CEm Regrets, I've had a few; Gm6A7 but then again, too few to mention. DmDm7 I did what I had to do, G7C and saw it through without exemption. CC7 I planned each charted course, FFm each careful step along the byway CG7 And more, much more than this, F6C I did it my way.
[Verse 3] CC7 Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew, FF7 when I bit off more than I could chew. Dm7G7 But through it all, when there was doubt, Em7Am I ate it up and spit it out. Dm7G7 I faced it all and I stood tall; F6C and did it my way.
[Verse 4]
CEm I’ve loved, I've laughed and cried, Gm6A7 I've had my fill; my share of losing. DmDm7 And now, as tears subside, G7C I find it all so amusing. CC7 To think I did all that; FFm and may I say not in a shy way, CG7 oh no, no not me, F6C I did it my way.
[Verse 5]
CC7 For what is a man, what has he got? FF7 If not himself, then he has naught. Dm7G7 To say the words he truly feels; Em7Am and not the words of one who kneels. Dm7G7 The record shows I took the blows, F6C and did it my way.
