This is my first "tab". I tried to play it by ear and it may not be up to scratch but if you have a similar strumming pattern to me then it'll sound all right. Capo: Not needed. (But you can play it with the capo on 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th)
Intro: GDEmC (x2)
Verse 1: G Listen, DEmC I can hear a voice, G I need a helping hand, DEmC just to beat the void. G I need a mission, D a dream to stop me talking to myself Em and now the silence is broken C and my soul is to sell G I need to pick up the pieces, D to scatter to the wind Em hold the city to your ears C and you can hear the wind come in.
Chorus: EmG But you can’t change the world with a song EmG and you can’t make it right when it’s wrong. GDEm I cannot stop this music travelling round with me wherever I go, C it’s playing for you. GDEm I cannot stop the voice unravelling round me whatever I do, C it’s talking to you. GD The world dances to the rhythm of its own EmC heart beating for you, however you lose. GD So speak to me EmC believe, believe, believe me.
Verse 2: GDEmC Don’t let it slip, through your fingertips. GD When there’s a ghost, EmC don’t try to reason with it. G Because now I’m tired, I’m wired, D so I will not miss a thing. Em I rope my words out to dry C and I’ve forgotten what to sing
Bridge: GD If that’s what it was to you, EmC then that’s what it was to me. GD If that’s what it was to you, EmC then that’s what it was to me. GD If that’s what it was to you, EmC then that’s what it was to me.
