My Island Home-sung by Bill McCormack
G D G EM C G
There is a place so far away that means so much to me
D G D G/Em A D
Its just a little Island nestled by the sea
G D G A C G
Where friendly folks are waiting to welcome you ashore
C G/Em G D
There is a little cottage, with the roses round the door
G D G C G
Its where I spent my childhood, while a boy round mothers knee
D G Em A D
We use to play about the farm, how happy and gay were we
Em/G D G C G
But now those days are over, and the cottage stands alone
D C G Em G
How I’d love to see that island, and the place I still call home
D G C G
Each night in dreams I wander, back to my island home
D G Em A D
And the memories how they haunt me, of that cottage all alone
G D G C G
Someday I’d like to wander back, though it be with a tear filled eye
C G Em G D/G
Just to see the folks, I love so well on dear old PEI
C G Em G
Just to see the folks, I love so well on dear old PEI
