The Youngbloods was an American rock band consisting of Jesse Colin Young (vocals, bass), Jerry Corbitt (guitar), Lowell Levinger, nicknamed "Banana" (guitar and electric piano), and Joe Bauer (drums). Despite receiving critical acclaim, they never achieved widespread popularity. Their only U.S. Top 40 entry was "Get Together".
Jesse Colin Young got his start as a solo act on the folk circuits of Boston and New York and had already cut a couple of unsuccessful albums before deciding to form a band with guitarist Jerry Corbitt.

The Youngbloods Sometimes written by Jesse Colin Young
GCDG Sometimes the road I'm walking goes in circles round and round CDG Somtimes a stranger starving makes me feel I'm sinking down EmCG Somehow the world that spins before my eyes is upside down all around FCG hey hey hey hey falling down GCDG Sometimes the words I'm talking have an empty silent sound GCDG Sometimes the smile I'm smiling is the painting of a clown EmCG Somehow the dreams that are tomorrow have all fallen down to the ground FCG hey hey hey hey upside down GCDG If there is sun tomorrow and a smile can heal my frown GCDG A smile from someone who is lost and trying to be found EmCG Then we will fill the morning with our laughter morning sound all around FCGFCG Hey hey hey hey round and round hey hey hey hey round and round
