The Supernaturals were a five-piece guitar-based pop band from Glasgow, Scotland. Fronted by singer-songwriter James McColl, they signed to Parlophone in 1996 and had a string of singles which were pulled from their three albums and four EPs. Other members include Derek McManus and Ken McAlpine. They had a few tunes included in TV advertisements (Smile and I Wasn't Built To Get Up), but the group were dismissed by the media as unfashionable and never really broke into the mainstream. In total they scored 5 UK Top 40 singles.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

"The Day Before Yesterday's Man" by
"The Supernaturals" from the album
"It doesn't matter anymore" on
"Food Records"
Transcribed by Gary Perkin. Not many words with the CD, so this is what they sound like to me.
This little song shows how much you can do with just three chords
Verse 1: --------
CG Jesus, I'm freaking, I've had such a weekend,
FC I think I must be turning to dust, (Not too sure about "dust"?)
CG My girlfriend has dumped me, and headed for the country,
FC with a boy who wears white socks,
G I wish the pavements were burning,
F CC FF CC FF and summer was coming along,
G Instead I'm virtually freezing,
F CC FF CC FF and working on this boring old song
Chorus: ------- CGFG 'Cos when the shit hits the fan,
CGFG you know I've always been an also ran,
CGFG Please please understand,
CGFG Yes I'm the day before yesterday's man, yeah!
GFCF Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, the day before yesterday,
CF the day before yesterday
Verse 2: --------
CG My palms are sweating, I'm trying hard forgetting
FC Things that I didn't even say,
CG There's nothing on the box, and I'm getting desperate thoughts,
FC That I just can't keep at bay.
G I wish the tables were turning,
F CC FF CC FF and something was coming along,
G Instead I'm virtually freaking,
F CC FF CC FF and everything is going so wrong,
Up-tempo Outro: ---------------
G F CC FF CC FF Day, before, yesterday.
CHORDS: (just in case you're an Absolute Beginner... we all were once)
