Azure Ray is an American indie duo, consisting of musicians Maria Taylor and Orenda Fink. Azure Ray started in Athens, Georgia, in 2001 and later relocated to Omaha, Nebraska, and joined the music scene there, leading to collaborations with Bright Eyes and Now It's Overhead, among others. Their sound is sparse and understated, with intimate lyrics, elements of alt-country and folk Americana, and occasional forays into minimalist electronica.
The duo took a brief hiatus beginning in 2004 while each member pursued solo projects.

GG so i'm waiting for this test to end C so these lighter days can soon begin Am i'll be alone but maybe more carefree D like a kite that floats so effortlessly
G i was afraid to be a lone C but now i'm scared that's how i like to be Am all these faces none the same D how can there be so many person alities G so many lifeless empty hands C so many hearts in great demand Am and now my sorrow seems so far away D until i'm taken by these bolts of pain
G but i turn them off and tuck them away C till these rainy days that make them stay Am and then i'll cry so hard to these sad songs D and the words still ring once here now gone G and they echo through my head every day C and i don't think they'll ever go away Am just like thinking of your childhood home DCDGC but we can't go back we're on our own oh
CDGC but i'm a bout to give this one more shot CD and find it in mys elf CD i'll find it in my self
G so we're speeding towards that time of year C to the day that marks that you're not here Am and i think i'll want to be alone D so please understand if i don't answer the phone G i'll just sit and stare at my deep blue walls C until i can see nothing at all Am only particles some fast some slow DCDGC all my eyes can see is all i know oh
CDGC but i'm a bout to give this one more shot CD and find it in my self CD i'll find it in my self
