The Lawrence Arms are a punk rock trio from Chicago, formed in 1999. The lineup consists of Brendan Kelly (vocals & bass), Chris McCaughan (vocals & guitar), and Neil Hennessy (drums). They have released seven full-length albums and are currently signed to Epitaph. Their music and lyrics exhibit their propensity for juxtaposing references from history and literature with American pop culture. The band takes its name from a building the members resided in (and were later evicted from) called the Lawrence Arms

EBA don't break too many hearts. EBA don't take too many arrows in the chest. C#EBC# cry comfortably, let us all know what you're thinking. EBA is there a gesture i could use to clearly express EBA i'm at an utter loss for words? C#BAE is there a part of you that's torn? that's larger than life? EBC# that'll hold on for one more night?
EB i've got a speech to make. EB followed by a big parade.
EA northside. closed eyes. C#BA all charades go on forever. EA hands tied with fools pride. C#BA in a slowly fleeing summer.
EBA just throw your hands up at the sky. EBA no use trying to explain this. C#BA the clouds are mirrors. i'm disguised. EBC# i'm not all that entertaining. EBA the city looks the same EBA until you notice smaller changes. C#BA it still knows us all by name. EB it holds us close to its heart C#B it holds us close to its heart
AB all my hopes are unaligned. ABA this diagnosis is self-designed.
EA northside. dead eyes. C#BA all charades go on forever. EA hands tied with fools pride. C#BA in a slowly fleeing summer.
EBC#A empty rooms don't have pictures to talk to. EBC#A brickwall views demand uninspired afternoons. EBA the days are flooding into months. EBC# the nights are staring into centuries.
ABE i've got some older pictures ABEC# of people i see once every couple years. AB intrigued or unamazed. EC#BA "you were so much different back in those days."
EBC# and now this smile has a bitter curve. EBA now these eyes are unenchanted. EBC#E and all we see is a faded image of what we used to be. EBA how can we relate
EBC#A when we don't know a thing about each other anymore? EBC#A when we don't know a thing about each other anymore? EBC#A when we don't know a thing about each other anymore? EBC#A when we don't know each other anymore?
