The Byrds were a popular American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1964. They are considered one of the most important and influential bands of the 1960s.
Their music bridged the gaps between the socially and spiritually conscious folk music of Bob Dylan, the studio trickery of The Beach Boys, and the sardonic rock of The Beatles. Some of their trademark songs include pop versions of Bob Dylan's Mr. Tambourine Man and Pete Seeger’s Turn! Turn! Turn! (To Everything There Is a Season)

GCG Come gather round people where ever you roam D And admit that the waters around you have grown GCG And accept it that soon you'll be drenched to the bone D If your time to you is worth savin^? GCGC Then you better start swimming or you'll sink like a stone GDCG For the times they are a changin GCG Come writers and critics who prophecies with your pen D And keep your eyes open the chance won't come again GCG And watch what you say for the wheel's still in spin D And there's no tellin who that it's namein GCGC For the loser now will be later to win GDCG For the times they are a changin GCG Come senators congressmen please heed the call D Don't stand in the doorway don't block up the hall GCG For he that gets hurt will be he who has stalled D There's a battle outside and it's ragin GCGC Will rattle our windows and shake down your walls GDCG For the times they are a changin GCG Come mothers and fathers throughout the land D And don't criticize what you can't understand GCG Your sons and your daughters are beyond your command D Your old road is rapidly agin GCGC Please get out of the new one if you can't lend your hand GDCGDG For the times they are a changin
