Snookeroo Written by Bernie Taupin and Elton John Taken from the album "Goodnight Vienna" by Ringo Starr Transcribed by Petteri Jarvinen
DA I was born in the north of England BmG I was raised in a working town DA I broke all the rules when I went to school BmG But the teachers couldn't pin me down
DA I tried to make my parents proud BmG By adapting to the social powers DA Oh pigs will fly, and the earth will fry BmG When they get me doing honest hours
Bm Snookeroo, Snookeroo A Daddy's going on the booze Bm Mother used to cut my hair A And sister used to make the news
Bm Oh it was two rooms up and two rooms down A And we were sentenced by the wrecking crane DGBm I was born on the eve of Halloween GAD And Snookeroo, Snookeroo, Snookeroo's my name.
DA I need someone to cook for me BmG And turn me loose at night DA I could spend my life with a factory girl BmG 'Cause the factory girl's my type
DA I hear them gossip on the street BmG Most of what they say is true DA Oh don't you know that I hear them say BmG There goes that lazy, no-good Snookeroo
(Repeat chorus)
