"Everything right now is so fast paced," Pulse Ultra guitarist Dominic Cifarelli, says. "Everything is ultra this, ultra that – ultra soft tissue to wipe your ass, and ultra light cigarettes to give you ultra cancer. Then pulse stands for being human, for life. So Pulse Ultra – it's like life amped up and taken to the next level."
The sound of Velvet Hammer/Atlantic recording group Pulse Ultra's debut album is that of rocks amped up and taken to the next level.
Four years of hard work! This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!
Song: Build Your Cages Artist/Album: Pulse Ultra/Headspace Date: August 19, 2002 Tabbed By: Tino Scafidi [email protected]
This song rocks. If you listen carefully, there are many little nuances caused by the effects and but I believe I've got the most I could out of this thing. I hope this is really accurate, but I would definitely any corrections if you find something. Enjoy.
Note: Listen to the song for timing and strumming although I will be putting as much detail as I can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Intro: 6/8 time Note: the notes on the F string can be picked, depending on the sensitivity of your equipment. d_________________________________________pm-------_________________ A__________________________________________________________________ f _____4________________5_________________________________________ C___2__2___4__4__5__5___5___5__5__________7__7__7_______________ G___2__2___2__2__3__3___3___3__3__________7__7__7____________________ D___0~~~~~________________________________5__5__5__________________
Chorus: Just kick in the distortion and repeat the intro, ending instead on the following. d__pm---------________________________________________________________ A__________________________________________________________________ F__________________________________________________________________ C___5__5__4_________________________________________________________ G___3__3__2_________________________________________________________ D__________________________________________________________________
Verse: Palm mute everything except for the accented chords. Listen for rhythm on D5. d________1st___2nd___3rd____Last____________________________________ A__________________________________________________________________ f________5___________7____________________________________________ C___2____5_____5_____7_________________________________________ G___2____3_____3_____5_____3__3__0________________________________ D___0______________________1__1__0_________________________________
Fill and Bridge: Basically the two parts are of the same riff... But I will lay out the whole bridge, and can just pick out the riff to use for the Fill and the whole thing to be played at the Bridge. Oh man this ***in' rocks. I might be wrong on the last 2 chords(on the second stave), but the effects kind of put me off track.
But through out the song like I said you'll run into different variations of these fills. I suggest u where they fit before anything else. Here there are: 1st: 00:50
Finally, at the end of song, as the chorus ends the song, you'll hear some palm mutes. These are: D_________________________________________________________________ A_________________________________________________________________ F_________________________________________________________________ C___3__3_________________________________________________________ G___3__3__0______________________________________________________ D___1__1__0_______________________________________________________
