DF# Increase Mather told her dad, yeah BmA "I roundly disagree with you GGm Your vocal style's to preachy D All the yokels mock your teaching." DF#BmA But Cotton, he was just so oblivious GGmD To all their cutting pleas DF# Soon the townfolk took to it, BmA In every pew they looked to him GGm For guidance just like eyeless lambs D Awaiting that ol' kebab stand D The skeptics formed F# The nation's born BmA They want to have it, Cotton's dream GGm But Increase had them mounted D And they burned on open fires BmAG So the word spread just like small pox F#E In the Sudan G The gentry cried:
over DF#BmAGGm (verse chords): "Give it a day!" x6
DF# Years and years have passed BmAG Since the puritans invaded our soul GmD Just like those arab terrorists.. you'll never know DF# But today the gods can't make us quake, BmA We see our lives as situations GGm Eyes are eyes and teeth are teeth, D Well mine are rotten underneath BmAGF#E I got two ways we can separate from the clan GA#CD If I could fly...I...could...fry
DF#BmAG And I hope you profited from this bulletin Gm And it stabilized your land D You're drenched, you're fired, your Alzheim clan, but DF#Bm Your father is another one of them A I don't wanna mention him again, cause GGm I talked to him last night, D He hates my guts We had a fight Bm And he called you a slut girl, A Why's that? GF#EG What did you do to him to make him think...?
