HOW DEEP THE FATHER'S LOVE FOR US - Owl City
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by Omegaxis26
Standard Tuning, No Capo
Hi guys! This is Omegaxis26 with another tab of Owl City's How Deep the Father's Love for us. I
think the intro is accurate enough, and I think the chords are fine since I transcribed it by ear.
Please read the notes at the end of this tab please. I'm not that good at making tabs and chords
from scratch so I hope for your consideration. Enjoy! :D
Intro goes like this:
e|--------8--------8---------8---------8---------8---------8----------------7-----|
B|-----8--------8---------8---------8---------8---------8---------8--10--8-----8--|
G|--9--------9--------10--------10--------10--------10--------12------------------| x6
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

To make a wretch His treasure

The Father turns His face away
C F
As wounds which mar the chosen One,

Bring many sons to glory

Behold the Man upon a cross,

My sin upon His shoulders

Ashamed I hear my mocking voice,
Am G
Call out among the scoffers
Instrumental

It was my sin that held Him there
Am G
Until it was accomplished

No gifts, no power, no wisdom
C F
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
Am G
His death and resurrection
C F
Why should I gain from His reward?
Am G
I cannot give an answer
C F
But this I know with all my heart
Am G
His wounds have paid my ransom
C F
This, I know with all my heart,
Am G C
His wounds have paid my ransom.
Notes:
-> In the Intro, you can change the 3rd string, 12th fret to 2nd string 8 if you think the first
one is too stretchy. Both of them sounds the same so it's up to you.
-> In the last part in, "This I know....", one down strum sounds good, but it's up to you how you
want to play it.
Well, that's about it guys. Thanks for stopping bye and reading this tab, God Bless everyone! :)
